What is the Denplan Excel Certification Programme?

The basis for these is the time the treatment is likely to take and any additional costs such as dental technicians fees.

An examination on a regular patient including basic scaling is £55.00.

New patient examinations including X rays £75.00

Fillings start at £77.00

Crowns from £467.00

You will be given a breakdown of private treatment costs and options at your examination appointment.

We believe in offering patients choice. For example a basic crown will satisfy many patients needs and expectations, however crowns using the latest materials that are often more aesthetic from the most skilled technicians cost substantially more to have made.

Private Dentistry

We offer a comprehensive range of Private dentistry at Rowtree Dental, including accepting referrals from other practices.
The NHS has limited resources and its commitment is that patients should have the treatment required to secure and maintain their oral health.
We are expected to offer patients choice and the choices on offer to dental patients is ever increasing. it can include alternatives or treatment unavailable on the NHS. Dentists at Rowtree have furthered their qualifications so that a wide range of choices can be offered.
Some practices market private dentistry aggressively. We have never done so but are pleased to discuss options with patients and help explain the benefits to you of enhanced care we can offer.
We offer private care through a variety of plans provided through Denplan and can also offer a mix of NHS and private treatment to patients who desire this.

About the products

Denplan Care

• Denplan Care is a monthly payment plan which helps you pay for your routine and restorative dental treatment
• The amount you pay is decided by your dentist and is based on your oral health and how much dental treatment you will need
• After an initial assessment by the dentist of your oral health (for which you may be charged) you will be placed into one of five fee categories
• Our Denplan Care prices all include optional worldwide dental emergency and injury insurance cover. If you choose not to take out this optional insurance the monthly fee is reduced by 60p

Routine and restorative dental care includes:

• Check-ups
• Hygiene treatment (including scaling and polishing)
• Dental x-rays
• Necessary fillings
• Preventive dental advice and therapy
• Any necessary extractions
• Periodontal (gum) treatment
• Crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
• Root canal treatment

(Please leave out any treatments that are not covered by your practice)

Denplan Care does not cover:

• Laboratory fees and prescriptions
• Any treatment excluded by the dentist in your contract which is payable by you at the private fee rates
• Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
• Treatment carried out anywhere other than by your registered dentist
• Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
• Sedation fees

Please remember – your routine dental treatment is at the discretion of your dentist and your contract is with your dentist, not Simplyhealth Professionals.

Denplan Essentials

• Denplan Essentials is a dental plan which helps you budget for your routine preventive dental care
• Seeing your dentist regularly is important as it can help you avoid having to undergo costly, restorative treatments
• The dental plan is easy to set up and no pre-assessment is necessary
• Your dentist will decide how often he wants to see you and how much he will charge you
• You will have to pay for any restorative dental treatment necessary (ie. crowns, bridges or fillings)
• Our Denplan Essentials prices all include optional worldwide dental emergency and injury insurance cover. If you choose not to take out this optional insurance the monthly fee is reduced by 60p

Routine dental care includes:

• Check-ups (up to the maximum detailed in your contract)
• Scaling, polishing and other hygiene treatment (up to the maximum detailed in your Contract)
• Dental x-rays
• Any additional treatment specified as included by the dentist in your contract
• Preventive dental advice

Denplan Essentials does not cover:

• Restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures (at the discretion of your dentist)
• Laboratory fees and prescriptions
• Any treatment excluded by the dentists in your contract which is payable by you to the dentist
• Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
• Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
• Sedation fees

Denplan for Children

• Denplan for Children is a flexible payment plan which is ideal for making sure your child gets the best possible dental care from an early age.
• The category your child is placed in is based on the condition of their oral health and the amount of treatment they will need.
• The dental plan focuses on preventive care by providing you with an easy and economical way to pay for your child to have regular dental check-ups. This is fundamental if the early signs of tooth decay or abnormalities are to be picked up and treated quickly.
• Our Denplan for Children prices all include optional worldwide dental emergency and injury insurance cover. If you choose not to take out this optional insurance the monthly fee is reduced by 60p
